Description
In this tour you will explore a selected number of some of Athens’ famous highlights as also Cape Sounio where Temple of Poseidon is situated. A 1 ½ hour beautiful drive from Athens by the attica coastal line. This tour is ideal either you stay in Athens or have some hours layover (cruiseship stop).

- Acropolis hill : The masterpiece of Ancient Greece! You will see the Parthenon (the main temple of the hill dedicated to goddess Athena protector of the city of Athens), Propylea, temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, Theatre of Herod Atticus and Theatre of Dionysos.
- Temple of Olympian Zeus: One of the biggest sanctuaries in Greece in Corinthian order dedicated to god Zeus.
- Old Olympic Stadium (Kallimarmaron): The first Modern Olympic Games took place here in 1896. Also the finishing line of the 2004 Olumpics Marathon race.
- Lycabettus hill: The highest point of the city providing amazing scenery for breathtaking photos.
- Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Changing of the guards): A ritual taking place every hour all year long in front of the greek Parliament.
- Lake Vouliagmeni: a small lake fed by underground currents with its underwater cave never fully explored as its end seems impossible to trace.
- Cape Sounio (Temple of Poseidon): A temple built on the edge of the cliff to honour God of Sea, Poseidon. The view to the Aegean Sea is really breathtaking.
- Lunch: (either in the city or by the sea) to taste greek cuisine.
